Helping your patients and clients reach their feeding goals.
Let’s work together!
I’m here to help your patients and clients reach their feeding goals.
As an infant feeding specialist with a background in speech pathology, I work to reassure parents' anxieties as well as encourage and support them on their feeding journey. My goal is to identify the root cause of feeding difficulties (latch, positioning, muscle tone, swallowing difficulties/dysphagia), make appropriate and helpful referrals when needed, and to provide plans and solutions that empower parents and give them confidence.

“I referred a postpartum mother who was having the most difficult feeding journey I had ever seen to Malia.
She was literally eating dry oatmeal by the fistful to increase what she had been told was low supply, was trying to supplement with a bottle that he refused to take, no matter what brand, and even tried to us SNS at the recommendation of a lactation consultant. It was throwing her postpartum anxiety completely out of control. She was desperate.
I was lucky enough to be there when Malia came to this mom’s home to provide support. Her approach was so unique - she was incredibly calm, sweet, and confident. She used this really low-key, playful approach to assessing the baby for a tie and teaching the mom how to do some exercises to either avoid a revision or heal properly after a revision - whichever she decided on. Totally judgment free, focused on her goals and options. She felt supported and like she could keep working to continue breastfeeding her son.”
